Sejal Kukadia is originally from Latham, NY. She is a disciple of Pandit Divyang Vakil and one of the United States’ only female classical tabla players. In addition to performing and teaching at the Taalim School of Indian Music, she is the author of Tabla Taalim, a 140-page guidebook for the study of tabla. Sejal teaches at the annual Women's World Drum & Percussion Happen’n in upstate NY. Furthermore, she is featured on the debut album of the NYC-based band Sounds of Taraab. Sejal is also a member of the tabla ensembles Tabla Upaj and Tabla Triveni and the all-women Middle-Eastern fusion band, Divahn.

Loren Oppenheimer is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. He is a committed and sincere disciple of Pandit Divyang Vakil. Loren is a tabla soloist and accompanist for music and Kathak dance, a full time teacher at the Taalim School of Indian Music and a member of the tabla ensembles Tabla Upaj and Tabla Triveni, which have performed throughout the US. Loren's music is featured in professional rock climber Chris Sharma's documentary, which aired on NBC Sports in 2006. Loren regularly works with musicians of various cultures, and has participated in numerous community events which celebrate world music in the US. Loren has also conducted workshops and given performances in Canada and India. |

Michael Lukshis is originally from East Brunswick, NJ. He holds a B.A. in Music from Rutgers University, and is a dedicated disciple of Pandit Divyang Vakil. In addition to his tabla performances as a soloist and accompanist in the US and India, he teaches at the Taalim School of Indian Music. Michael has performed with several New Jersey-based bands, including Natural Breakdown and Amber Blues, and co-founded the Dharma Farmers project. Michael can be heard on the album One Inside the One, by Natural Breakdown. Furthermore, Michael is an accomplished guitar player and is the guitar instructor at the Taalim School of Indian Music.
